1. Dancing Fish Gallery

The Dancing Fish Gallery is an amazing site to visit and you can look forward to seeing a collection of art in various forms inspired by multiple cultures including the Tsonga, Northern Sotho and Venda. At this gallery you can anticipate to find work from at least 15 different artists and groups from Northern Limpopo. The art exhibitions that await you were inspired by the artist’s upbring. Some Of the pieces are made from metal weapons, stone carvings and wooden cooking utensils. 

 

2. Mashovhela Pool

    

Traditionally this place is also known as “the place where the drums can be heard”. It is one of the most sacred areas in Venda folklore. This sacred location is still used by sangomas in rain-making ceremonies. In recent times sangomas beat their drums which lead to the disastrous floods.

3. Limpopo Cultural Tours

Louis Trichardt is situated at the foot of the Soutpansberg Mountains, this area is plentiful in history and cultural heritage. The village tours allow guests the opportunity to experience how the Tsonga natives live, work and celebrate their heritage. There is a creative studio there that displays how some art pieces are made.

 

4. Lajuma Research Centre

The Lajuma Research Centre is one of a handful of places in South Africa where you can see handprints . According to others they were made 2000 years ago by nomads Lajuma is a natural culture site, it also has amazing  views with beautiful plant and animal life.  IT is also important to not forget that it is also an archaeological site.
